PORTSMOUTH PHOTO DIARY

Sunday, 31 July 2016

Last weekend I was in Portsmouth for the America's cup and took way too many beautiful photos that I just need to share with you all! It was so beautiful down there and I can't wait to go back.

We stopped for some lunch on Gosport Beach, it was lush weather and you could really see the Isle of Wight.

We got the ferry over to Portsmouth (how awesome is it that people do this rather than get on a bus though?)

We took a trip up the Spinnaker Tower, the views from there are incredible. Of course I had to walk on the glass platform (and do a little bit of yoga) Hayden even did it!

On day 2 we got a boat out to the middle of the sea along with many others (literally the sea was so crowded) to watch the America's Cup Sailing Race, it was bloody boiling out there, it was nice to see a sport I've never really watched before and take in all the views.

There was a little air show which the kid in me loved.. There's just something about that synchronization and loops that get me.

Excuse the bad lighting on my dinner but we then went to the most beautiful restaurant on Gosport Marina and had a lovely meal.

My camera isn't the best at night pictures but after dinner we drove up to I think it was Portchester where we could see all of Portsmouth, there was a little firework display for the Americas cup down at the Spinnaker Tower which we got awesome views of.

And voila, it feels weird having such a photo heavy post but I had such a good time and I just had to share these photos with you all.

  2. I come to this place every now and then. The place is really nice, the crowd is full of regulars, and the food and drink specials are pretty good! The staff at venue houston is great and really gets to know your name. Totally worth your time on any night for good food and drink.

  3. Oh how gorgeous and look at that weather you had! I was about to say that I've been there, but then I remembered that I've been to Plymouth, not Portsmouth. Definitely not the same thing!

I love these photos. There's something so photogenic about blue skies and the sea.

Sounds like an awesome two days of adventuring!
