MAKEUP REVOLUTION 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY

Monday, 14 March 2016

Excuse the photo heavy post but I thought the best way to share all of my photos with you would be this way then link my vlog underneath for you all to watch!

Makeup Rev's 2nd birthday party was held at the beautiful Cafe De Paris- a luxury club in London, it was truly lovely in there and I definitely would love to see it on another night!

There was this massive chocolate fountain with all sorts of nibbles to dip from, in fact there was amazing canapes being passed around the entire afternoon and night! My personal favourite was the mash potato, with beef and sauce on top- utter perfection!

There was makeup to swatch and look at from all three of the brands under the TAM beauty range, Makeup Revolution, I <3 Makeup and Freedom Makeup. Seeing a lot of it in person rather than online had swayed me very much into making a rather large order...

Scott Mills the radio 1 DJ was there to sort out some music for the night!

I of course met lot's of lovely ladies whilst at the event and we manahge

Makeup Revolution and Superdrug were also incredibly kind enough to give us these amazing goody bags! First of all the bag itself is just perfect for bloggers because it's in rose gold which I love!!

From Makeup Revolution we got-
Antibacterial brush cleaner
Rose Gold Girls Best Friend lipstick,
Rose Gold Powder Brush,
 Strobe Cream,
Freedom Pro Artist Pad

CUBA REVOLUTION MENU LAUNCH

Tuesday, 8 March 2016

The other week I went to my local Cuba Revolution for their new menu launch and mojito making masterclass. Our lovely hostess was telling us that the owners of Cuba Rev's went over to Cuba to find out exactly what their local food is like, they even went into the kitchens of local restaurants to see how the chefs make everything. They've also now got completely fresh ingredients which makes the food taste extra good!

To start with there's the best bar food ever.. pork scratching, spicy nuts and banana chips- I can honestly say the pork scratching are the best I've ever had! I ate both bowls of them..

As soon as we got there the lovely bar man gave me and Charlie this massive jug of a berry and rum cocktail- it was abit too strong for my liking but still was pretty good!

I had this last time I was at Cuba Rev's, now they even make their own tortilla crisps which is fab! The guacamole is still as incredible as I remember- it's got the perfect amount of coriander in and is just so fresh. The salsa is perfect too as it's not too spicy.

This chicken in a goats cheese sauce was absolutely incredible, the skin was grilled so perfectly that it was nice and crisp but the chicken was still good and moist (I'm sorry for using that word hahahaha)

Butternut squash chips with a jelly were amazing! I also tried sardines- I was very pleasantly surprised by these, I've never had sardines before mainly because the only type that I ever see are the gross tinned ones.

Beef kebab with sweet potato chips and some type of black beans which weren't to my taste (sorry haha) but the rest of it was really lovely, beef was nice and tender, cooked to perfection and well you can't really go wrong with sweet potato chips can you!

I can't remember what type of fish this was but it tasted pretty damme good, even though it still had pretty vicious looking teeth in! The potatoes on the other hand.. oh my word, heaven on a plate!! That mixed with the garlic mayo is just what everybody needs.

This was a pretty beefy meatball burrito, I attempted it but I wasn't really feeling it, the salsa again was so lovely and fresh to balance out the spiciness of the burrito.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate this burger... Done? I will say the burger itself was charred just a bit too much for my liking but everything else in it was on point, the chips were amazing too.

Fried bananas in a chocolate sauce.. Not really my cup of tea if I do say but I gave it a go and it was okay- I'm not much of a dessert person, especially when it comes to chocolate so it's not a surprise I didn't like it.

Churro cheesecake, now this is what I'm talking about! I could eat this all day everyday! The cream, churros and fresh fruit just ahhhhhh!!!

TOP 5 CONTOURING PRODUTCS

Sunday, 6 March 2016

So I'm all about contouring my face, whether it's just a little bit on my cheek bones or creating a completely new chiseled face. I've been contouring for about 3 years now and I've experimented with many different products, throughout experimenting I have found what works for me and what doesn't.

First up we've got my first ever contouring product- hence the well loved state of it.. Many moons ago this was the Sleek Contour kit which had a beautiful highlighter in too. I think if a beginner is looking this is where they need to go, they've got a good few shades to choose from, perfect price and is a duo.

Next is a Kiko Pencil Contour Kit, this is the only cream product I can use for some reason. But it is honestly amazing, because it's in pencil form you can really get into the areas needed with real accuracy. I bought this as a duo with a highlighting pencil (it's pretty crappy) in Italy last year when it first came out and it does last a really long time!

Okay so now we've got the Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Kit, this was very expensive but sooooooo worth it.. first of all the banana powder is the most amazing thing I have EVER used, it is so brightening. The contour shades are amazing too, the one I use is the lightest one- pale skin probs.

Next is Benefit Hoola, this is amazing because it's conventionally used for bronzing, however it's not got that orange undertone like most which means it's perfect for contouring. It's also got the most perfect contouring brush included which is always handy- admittedly it is slightly scratchy but it is good!

Lastly we've got the Makeup Revolution Contour Kit, this entire palette is a fantastic £8- it has got everything you could ever need and the highlighter in this could actually blind people. The contouring products blend out so seamlessly it's incredible.
