Merry Christmas everyone, I hope you've all had an amazing time. I've been very absent but I'm going to try and get back in the game for 2017, the best way I thought of doing that was by doing a what I got for Christmas post- here's my obligatory 'this is not a bragging post I'm simply posting this because I love everything I got and I am massively nosey and really enjoy reading these types of posts.'

xmas wishlist 16

I am back and it's about time I had a thought about what I'd like for Christmas, I love reading these posts because they always give me ideas of what I'd like and I just think they're fun to put together. Plus when people ask me if I have any idea of what I like I can just link them to this!

I love converse, they are so comfy (once you've worn them in of course) they last such a long time and these pastel ones are so cute!

Pandora is killing it with their rose gold range and I'm dying to get my hands on one of their rings and this one is so simplistic when you first glance at it but has so much beautiful detailing.

I wasn't too sure on the whole Fitbit trend when it first started but now that I've started uni and walk so bloody much I really am interested in what my activity is like. I had no idea what sort of Fitbit to go for but they have a handy test on their website which is really cool and it pointed me in the direction of this one.

I've seen bloggers rave about this for years now and I've finally decided I need to get my hands on it. It's such a multi-use product so I can keep it in my handbag for every problem I have.

Another blogger favourite and one I constantly see people rave about. My skin needs that extra boost of brightening in Winter and I love non-cakey powders so this seems like a match made in heaven for me.

I absolutely love sock fit boots, they just look so cute and these navy velvet pair look incredible. I haven't tried anything from Public Desire before (unsure why because their shoes absolutely slay) and these look like the perfect things for me to try!

Is it even Christmas without a new dressing gown? There's just something I love about wrapping up in a new fleecy dressing gown after scoffing my face all day at Christmas. This one is perfect for me because A) It's a Disney princess one and B) Look at the bloody hood- it's a crown!!!

Another product I've been dying to try, in 2017 I really want to start getting into my skincare properly and this is a must have.

I saw Lily Pebbles pick this up on her snapchat and fell in love, I'm not really much of a watch girl- as in I never gravitate towards them but this is just so sophisticated and beautiful!

The case I got randomly to protect my MacBook when I first got it just isn't cutting it anymore but this one is lovely, it's a cute colour, has a zip which is really important to me and even has a little extra case for my charger!

Would it be Christmas without this baby? I got my sister some for our birthday back in October and have just been dying at the smell since then, the fact it now comes in 1kg bottles is amazing because that means I can get a nice little stock up!

When I saw this range this dress screamed festive season out to me, now I probably won't be able to pull it off as well as her because she's a skinny minnie but this type of dress is exactly what I'm looking for for my New Years Eve plans!

So that is my Christmas wishlist! Comment below what you've got on yours or if you've got a post link me to it!

Makeup Revolution/Freedom London are my favourite makeup brand, there I've said it and I really truly mean it. They are so affordable but have such amazing quality products which to me means so much, I haven't got the money to try every new product that comes out on the market. I also find that the Makeup Revolution/Freedom brand are incredible at creating dupes for higher end products which again I'm all about!

Monday, 19 September 2016

As you probably all know I love doing these little Top 5.. blog posts and I've been dying to show you all my favourite lipsticks to wear in Autumn and now we're mid September I can officially share them with you!

Saturday, 17 September 2016

It was literally about a week ago I got my last Glossybox but the September edition came through the post today and OH MY WORD it is amazing. It's the best I've had. it was The Red's Editor's choice so everything in there are things chosen by her. She said that September is the month she tends to try new skincare products and she wears very little on her eyes and lashes and this box explains that very well.

Thursday, 15 September 2016

As some of you may know I'm starting my first year of universtiy next week where I'll be studying Fashion Communication & Promotion. Just after results day I got quite the list of things I'd need to buy so I thought I'd share with you all the bits I've got so far.

Tuesday, 13 September 2016

I've had my eyes on the Seventeen Stay Time 25 hour foundation* for such a long time now, Erin from ChasingRubyCat and Alice from AliceWritesBeauty both go on about this foundation all the time but I've just always forgotten to pick it up so I've never tried it, then one of their lovely PR girls got in contact with me and asked if there was anything I wanted to try so I immediately asked for this and a few days later it turned up on my door stop and I literally have worn it every day since then.

Thursday, 8 September 2016

Excuse the fact I am mega late to posting my August Glossybox but I received it at the weekend and had sort of just forgotten all about it, so everything in there was a complete surprise and I really love everything in there this month. This months box celebrates their 5th birthday which is awesome so Happy Birthday Glossybox! The colour scheme of the actual box is very me and I'm full on obsessed with it and want clothing and bedding in this dusty pink and grey colour so thanks glossy box for giving me something else to obsess over.

Tuesday, 6 September 2016

On Thursday night I had the pleasure of going to the launch night of Turtle Bay, this restaurant is unlike anything we've got in Norwich and I can tell already that everyone is going to absolutely love it. If you haven't heard of Turtle Bay before it's a chain of  restaurants with Caribbean inspired food. The 2 guys who started the business were in Barbados when they found themselves in a bar which is where they took all of the inspiration for Turtle Bay.

Wednesday, 31 August 2016

I say it every month but August quite literally has flown by, I don't event know what happened to the month but we're on the last day so that means another monthly favourites! I have been loving so many products the past month so it's been really tricky to narrow it down!

Saturday, 20 August 2016

Keeping up with my Top 5/10 series today I'm sharing my top 10 ultimate drugstore favourites. These are products that I will constantly repurchase and just love.

Thursday, 18 August 2016

You've probably all seen this cleanser over my blog and instagram so many times over the past few months, I've finally decided to give it a full review as I've been using it for nearly 3 months now, which is the amount of time I like to use a skincare product before I do a full review.

I cannot get enough of these Top 5 beauty products, so expect more to come. Check out my latest one Top 5 Nude Lipsticks here. Today's I'm talking about my Top 5 highlighters, we all love a good glow and these make me glisten.

Makeup Revolution Baked Highlight in Golden Lights just had to be here, it's really buildable so if I just want a little glow I can get that from this product but if I want to shimmer like a Vampire (why am I referencing Twilight lol) I just add more of this product. Makeup revolution quite literally make the best highlighters and I'm never going to back down from that statement. For £3 this product is insane.

Kiko Ltd Edition Contour Highlight stick is another one of my favourites, it's not shimmery at all but it gives a really nice natural glow. Because this is in a stick form I love using this on my brow bone and it's perfect to highlight my nose and cupids bow because it's so easy to get in there. Unfortunately you can't get this exact one anymore but after looking at the Kiko website this one looks similar and is only £4.90.

I've only recently got hold of W7 Glowcomotion, I did hear people compare it to The Balms Mary Louminzer but this is way more warm toned than that. Again this is another product that you can really build up, I do prefer to use a fan brush for a more subtle look with this or my Real Techniques contour brush to get a real glow. It's £6.95 so slightly more expensive than the other 2 but completley worth it.

I love a good highlight/contour palette and these two are my favourite of all time. The Kat Von D Shade + Light palette doesn't necessarily scream highlight when you first look at it, especially compared to my others but both colours (the far left and far right on the top row) give such a nice natural glow, I like to go for these two mixed together when I'm wearing minimal/no makeup. You can only get this on the Sephora website at the moment however it'll be avaliable on the Debenhams website from September and in store from October! I got this for $46.

I can't actually find this Makeup Revolution Palette on their website or Superdrug's so I'm not sure if it's still being made? Regardless this has my ultimate favourite highligh in, the far right one on the top row is something else, I've never seen a glow like it before, my face literally illuminates. The peachy toned ones both look incredible on the skin, espeically on darker skintones. I believe this palette was only £8.

Monday, 8 August 2016

Every other week, on a Sunday usually I like to have a nice little pamper evening to just relax and unwind and get myself ready for the week ahead. These are the products I've been loving using for my pamper nights.

Saturday, 6 August 2016

I'm loving doing these top 5/10 products because it's such an easy way for me to tell you what products I'm really loving! If you want to check out my previous ones Top 10 Drugstore Foundations and Top 5 Drugstore Concealers. Even though it's summer I've been reaching for these lipsticks the most for the past however many months.

Tuesday, 2 August 2016

I've been loving loads of things this month, but I've rounded it up to my top 7. I've also got a music favourite hello Katy Perry- Rise YES QUEEN. I've been waiting 2 years for some new music and this song is exactly what I needed. If you haven't listened to it I'll link it for you! Now onto my beauty favs...

Sunday, 31 July 2016

Last weekend I was in Portsmouth for the America's cup and took way too many beautiful photos that I just need to share with you all! It was so beautiful down there and I can't wait to go back.

Wednesday, 27 July 2016

I love doing these How much is my face worth little posts, I think they're a really fun way of showing everyone what you're loving/wearing at the moment and it's also so interesting to see how much your face is actually worth! So today's one is a summer edition. I've been going for a more light base and not really wearing much on my face because of how hot it's been.

Monday, 25 July 2016

So a few weeks ago now myself and the other Norwich Blogger gals hosted our 4th event and it was absolutely awesome! For this event we decided to keep it simple and just have bloggers and brands networking, we expected absolutely no goodies but we still managed some awesome ones! If you want to read all about that event I wrote a post on our Norwich Bloggers blog so check that out here

Saturday, 23 July 2016

This is going to be an extremley photo filled post so sit back and see what I got up to at the Charlotte Tilbury launch event at Jarrolds.

Thursday, 21 July 2016

When I first started blogging I wish I knew these things which now are really obvious and things I do without thinking but when you're new to all this you'd have no idea!

Monday, 18 July 2016

So today I somehow managed to get myself an interview at Benefit Cosmetics, I won't lie I was absolutely bricking it purely because I spent way too much time on the internet reading horror stories. I was shaking so badly walking in there, but I really had nothing to worry about.

The first stage of the interview was just a quick chat with the store manager, she asked questions like why I wanted to work at Benefit, times I've given good customer service, a time when I've dealt with a sensitive situation and when I've worked as part of a team.

Once I'd passed that stage I was asked to come back a couple hours later for my 'audition.' This part of the interview is where most people struggle. You have to go out onto the shop floor and basically grab customers to give them a free mini makeover. There were 4 of us at the audition so it was a pretty nice amount and the other girls were lovely!

The store manager went through all of the products and told us abit about the best sellers so that we could pass that knowledge onto customers. We then had to set up our station with all of our brushes and disposable wands and cleaning products. Once we'd got our stations set up we were set free, I literally got my first customer within seconds, I turned around and she was there so I grabbed her and did her makeup.

I did struggle getting my second customer, I was wondering around the entire store for a fair while before I got my second customer. You do have to be able to accept being told no or sometimes people being rude to you (luckily no one was today) but that is like that with any sales job. I've done cold calling before and people have far more balls to be rude over the phone than face to face so to be honest it's nothing I can't handle.

We all had just over an hour to get 3 people to come get their makeup done which we all managed to do. I think the reason there are so many horror stories about the interview process at Benefit is because a lot of people aren't up for hardcore sales- Benefit is more of a sales environment than other counters and that's just the way it is. Once you've got over the first customer you can easily get others.

I really enjoyed my interview and it was lovely to just spend a day surrounded by lovely girls and makeup! I'll find out whether I got the job by the end of next week so hopefully! Either way I had a blast!

Saturday, 16 July 2016

Okay so when I first saw that people had been using this as a primer whilst reading a Buzzfeed atricle I was hesitant to believe it. So I did some digging myself and found that people have been using this as a primer for a good few years, this is because it's active ingredient is Dimethicone which is found in a lot of smoothing primers (like the Smashbox photo finish primer)

Tuesday, 5 July 2016

I've seen this tag on a few people's blog and thought it would be hilarious to see what Hayden thought makeup was, it turned out he was better than I expected but he still came out with some corkers.. I tag everyone to ask their boyfriend/girlfriend/bestfriend/mum/dad/nanny etc anyone and link me to the post when you're done!

Friday, 1 July 2016

I'm finally back after a nice lil break and I'm back with my top 10 tried and tested drugstore foundations. So in no order at all...

Friday, 27 May 2016

I like to keep this little travel Sephora bag in whatever bag I've got whether it's my college bag, gym bag or cheer bag so I have all of my must haves in one place that I can easily get them or transfer them!

Wednesday, 25 May 2016

I've been pretty crappy with my skincare the past few months, as in just using a cleanser at night and then moisturising in the morning. After lusting over Jasmine's skincare collection on snapchat I decided enough was enough and bought a few new bits.

Monday, 23 May 2016

I cannot believe that it's been 2 whole years since I first pressed the publish button on my little blog.. So much has changed in the last 365 days and I've grown so much as a person and as a brand (I guess my blog is a brand right?)

Tuesday, 10 May 2016

It's actually been a good few months since I've treated myself and I've been dying to pick up some of my forever favourites as well as picking up some new products.

Tuesday, 3 May 2016

I've had these lipsticks ever since they got released in the UK thanks to Rebekka and her informative/spendy ways. They featured in my monthly favourites and I can honestly say nothing else has touched my lips except these two beauties.

Sunday, 1 May 2016

I seriously cannot believe we're in May already.. 2016 is moving way too fast! I've been really out of it with blogging the past few months and my aim for May is to get back to my usual 3 day a week posting schedule. Anyway back to this post- my April favourites!

Tuesday, 12 April 2016

My Nanny gave me these Bare Minerals products as she didn't like/use them and I've always been interested in mineral makeup but because my skin used to be so dry I never thought about purchasing it, plus I'm always dubious about dropping more than £15 on a product I don't know much about.

I knew that because of the powder concept my skin needed to be silky soft and smooth before I even thought about putting this on my skin. So I started by exfoliating my face with Lush's Magnaminty face mask to get rid of any dry skin, I then took Simple's Kind To Skin moisturiser to get my skin nice and soft. Finally to prime my skin and give it an inner glow I used Freedom Makeups Strobe Cream.

I used a stippling brush to put the product onto my skin, at first it looked like I had nothing on my skin but once I started adding a second layer the coverage really surprised me. I'd say it's a medium/full (more full though) coverage, which can obviously be controlled by what you use to put the product on with (a stippling brush will push more product on, whereas a powder brush will give you more of a light coverage)

It feels really nice on the skin, considering the coverage it is lightweight on the skin- I feel like I'm stating the obvious with mineral makeup but there ya go. I will say the colour match wasn't great- admittedly it wasn't matched to my skin, and I did notice that it oxides on my skin after a little while which isn't great.

My nanny also included a bronzing powder and a highlighting powder (however because of the colour match of the original powder I'm thinking of trying this as an actual foundation) the bronzing powder is very orange toned, so you need only a small amount but it did look really nice on.

Overall I do really like this foundation and it lasted really nice on my skin, I think it's going to be perfect for summer when I need something high coverage yet still breathable. I'm going to keep using this as it is a really lovely product. Let me know if you've tried any Bare Minerals products or any other mineral makeup!

Friday, 8 April 2016

So I was tagged by the lovely Katie to do this challenge, and it really was a challenge. The idea of this is pretty simple, get a full face of makeup for £20. Katie went out and bought everything new but seeing as I'm a poor student with wayyyyy too much makeup as it is (the limit doesn't exist though) I decided to have a rummage around my collection to see what I could find.

I decided early on that I needed to find ways to multi-use products to get the most out of it so I only have 6 items and they're from 3 different brands!

To prime my skin and give it a nice summery glow I used the Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Cream (£8)

For foundation I went with a Primark foundation stick (£1) which I usually use for concealer but I forgot how much I like this product- it's really full coverage although can look slightly cakey if you're not careful so I really blended this in.

Brows was where I got very worried and stressed a bit- finding a product that works for a blondie (turned grey) is hard work, however in the Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour palette (£6) the cool toned bronzer that I use for contouring was perfect! It obviously doesn't have any red undertones and it just worked really well so I'm impressed with that one.

To carve out my brows I used the Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix concealer (£6).

On the lids I started by setting them with the banana shade in the contour kit, I then used the lightest bronzer to carve out my crease, I then used the darkest bronzer shade to carve it out some more and put it on the inner corner and outer v, I then took the darkest highlighter and put that in the center of my lids to create a pretty halo look. On the lower lash line I just repeated what I did on top then smoked it out with the lighter bronzer. On my brow bone and inner corner I put the lightest highlight. Mascara wise I went with a Primark mascara that is incredibly underrated- the brush is amazing and it got literally all of my lashes, for a £1 mascara you can't go wrong.

I then used that same Makeup Revolution concealer on on my under eyes to highlight and set it with the banana powder in the contour kit. To set my entire face I used a mix of the pinky shade and the banana powder from the contour kit.

I contoured using the same Makeup Revolution palette, using the same shade I used on my brows. I didn't bronze using the usual bronzers I used the darkest highlighter only because my face was looking abit dull from the foundation so I wanted to bring it back to life. Then to highlight I used the white highlight which is my ultimate favourite and could quite literally blind someone- so obsessed with it.

Finally on my lips I used a MUA lipstick (£1) I can't decide if barbie pink is my colour or not? I do really love the formula of the lipstick though so I can't fault that!

And here's the final look!

I tag these lovely gals! If I haven't tagged you but you wanna give it a try go ahead and tag me in them once you have I'd love to see what everyone comes up with!

Monday, 4 April 2016

This is a very photo heavy post so excuse that but it's just recently been Norwich Fashion Week and I attended the Designers show. The theme this year was circus which was awesome! The sheer talent these designers have is absolutely amazing so shout out to them! (I happen to have an outfit featured in this show!)

The first collection of the show was Sophie's, she really nailed the circus theme and everything looked incredible on the catwalk.

Friday, 1 April 2016

So today we have the last in the Disney World Blog post installment *sob* on day 5 we went to Animal Kingdom and day 6 was a re-run in Magic Kingdom. On the very last day as we had a late flight  we went to Typhoon Lagoon but I didn't get any pictures because my camera stayed in the car.

Monday, 14 March 2016

Excuse the photo heavy post but I thought the best way to share all of my photos with you would be this way then link my vlog underneath for you all to watch!

Makeup Rev's 2nd birthday party was held at the beautiful Cafe De Paris- a luxury club in London, it was truly lovely in there and I definitely would love to see it on another night!

There was this massive chocolate fountain with all sorts of nibbles to dip from, in fact there was amazing canapes being passed around the entire afternoon and night! My personal favourite was the mash potato, with beef and sauce on top- utter perfection!

There was makeup to swatch and look at from all three of the brands under the TAM beauty range, Makeup Revolution, I <3 Makeup and Freedom Makeup. Seeing a lot of it in person rather than online had swayed me very much into making a rather large order...

Scott Mills the radio 1 DJ was there to sort out some music for the night!

I of course met lot's of lovely ladies whilst at the event and we manahge

Makeup Revolution and Superdrug were also incredibly kind enough to give us these amazing goody bags! First of all the bag itself is just perfect for bloggers because it's in rose gold which I love!!

From Makeup Revolution we got-
Antibacterial brush cleaner
Rose Gold Girls Best Friend lipstick,
Rose Gold Powder Brush,
 Strobe Cream,
Freedom Pro Artist Pad

From Superdrug we got-
Body Wash
