WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS 2015

Thursday, 31 December 2015

I've decided to post this because I know how nosey everyone is and I bloody love reading these posts and watching these videos, so I thought why not! Here's the typical disclaimer I'm in no way shape or form bragging about what I received, I just want to share with you some of the gifts I received and am thoroughly grateful, I can't quite believe how lucky I've been!

First up we've got my stocking which is always the first thing we open. This year I got one of the colour therapy colouring books and felt tips- I cannot tell you how excited I am to get started on this, I've wanted one of these books for ages but never got round to getting one- I did use the app though which is pretty fun for long journeys! I also got this awesome bubblegum machine- me and my sister had a giant one with giant bubblegum balls in when we were younger so it's pretty awesome to have a desk sized version now.

I of course got a couple of selection boxes and even got some Lindor chocolates which are one of my favourites!

This year I was lucky enough to get 3 perfumes and 2 have the matching body lotions and washes! As you might know already I'm a slight Katycat (Katy Perry fan) and the theme continues with my perfume taste so I was buzzing when I opened these 3! I've already used Killer Queen (red) and Royal Revolution (blue) a good few times before and I love them both and I'm so excited to use Mad Potion because it's her latest one out and I'm sure it smells fab!

I love getting practical things like big bottles of shampoo and conditioner because I don't tend to buy it for myself and they last for so long! Getting travel sized ones is so handy also for little trips- the Mark Hill set also has a mini hairspray in which is my favourite hairspray for when doing my cheer hair because it's so strong, is so easy to brush out and is small enough to fit in my cheer bag without causing too much hassle!

I love having my nails painted but I for some reason don't have many colours, so it was really lovely to see this OPI set with a ring in- the colours are so beautiful and festive! The second set is in such a lush bag which is a perfect size for toiletries, the nail varnishes themselves are such pretty colours too.

I always love getting new pj's and slippers for Christmas! There's nothing better than snuggling up in new pj's!

Can we all take a moment to appreciate this clutch bag- oh my it is beautiful and goes perfectly with my NYE outfit! I also received the Criminal Minds box set ahhhhhhh- it's literally my favourite programme ever and I know that after hiding away and watching all 10 seasons in less than two weeks I most certainly will think I'm an FBI agent from the BAU!

Excuse how bad the photograph is but taking flat lay photos of clothes is so hard! I got this beautiful skirt and it is so me it's unreal. I also got one of Katy Perry's Christmas jumpers from her H&M range! I didn't manage to get good photos of the other clothes I got but I also got a black turtleneck top, black faux fur gillette which is so bloody warm and cosey, I also got some 3/4 work out trousers from my cheerleading squads training kit.

One of my faovurite things I got was the Naked Smokey Palette- firstly this is the first naked palette I own and it is bloody incredible and you will no doubt be seeing it all over my instagram/on here throughout the year! I also got a new muslin cloth because you can never have too many! Lastly I got this 2016 diary, it's probably the smartest planner/diary I've ever owned, there's enough room for me to put in everything I need and I love it!

Hope you've all enjoyed reading and I'd love to know what you got for Christmas! If you've got a post link it below so I can check them out! Also a very Happy New Year to you all!xo

ROUNDUP OF 2015

Tuesday, 29 December 2015

I just want to start this post by saying 1) How is it nearly 2016 already? And 2) A massive thank you to everyone who has supported me this year, going through everything I realised I've achieved so much and I've done some bloody amazing things. Here's to hoping 2016 is just as fab!

January

In January myself, Courteney, Hannah & Siobhaun held the first ever Norwich Bloggers Event, this was such an amazing event and it helped guide us with what to do next.

February:

In February I went on my first ever overseas trip with my college! We went to Florence, Italy for 4 days, it was one the the best trips I've ever been on. If you want to read what we got up to on the trip here are the links: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4.

February was also the month of my first cheer competition of the season, it was Future Cheer's Heart Of England held at the Birmingham LG Arena and we placed 3rd and 8th which is amazing for a first competition!

March:

In March I took part in Norwich Fashion Week's Designer Show. I was a dresser backstage as well as one of my garments being showcased. I have a full blog post here so check that out!

April:

April held our second competition of the season, BCA National Championships 2015 and we amazingly came away with a 1st place, 7th place and a Summit Bid! PS how cute are our uniforms?!

I also visited my friend Vic down in Kent in April, it was so nice to be reunited with her again as we rarely see each other which is no fun! I had an amazing time with her we went shopping, I had my first Five Guys (we really need one here) and we had an amazing night out!

June:

On the 1st of June I had a college trip to London to see the Alexanda McQueen exhibition at the V&A and a trip to Graduate Fashion Week. You can read all about the fashion room at the V&A here, Alexanda McQueen's exhibition here and Graduate Fashion week here.

In June I finished my first year of college and as part of my final major project I made a small lingerie collection and did a small shoot for it (by small shoot I took my friend outside with my iPhone and photographed her posing haha) I'm really proud with what I came up with!

I also attended the Cosmo Summer Party which was bloody amazing, there were fashion shows, talks with Fleur De Force and so much more- I have a full blog post here so do give that a read if you haven't as it was an amazing day!

This was the last practice of the season for my level 3 team before our last competition of the season. We were all visualizing hitting a perfect routine!

At the end of June we attended our last competition of the season- Legacy Nationals at The Copperbox Arena in the Olympic Stadium. It was pretty surreal to compete there.

July:

July started with my Cheerleading awards, we had such a lovely day and the weather was perfect- I even got a mention for being one of the 6 girls who had been there since day one aka for 5 years which is pretty awesome.

Our final competition for the level 1 team was The Summit- which we recieved a bid for earlier in the season at BCA Nationals. The competition was so lovely and it was such a nice way to round up our season!

Because this year hasn't been perfect (I don't have many photos of the not so great stuff) I've added in a selfie I took shortly after my third operation on my jaw. It hasn't been a massive success really but I can deal with the pain of it.

August:

August saw me, Courteney and Hannah hold the second NRWBloggers event- NRWSummer, it was a perfect day with beautiful weather and so many lovely guests! I really loved this event because I got to chat with our lovely bloggers on a more personal level compared to our first event where we were all running around like headless chickens! You can read about the event here

Me & Hayden went to Pisa for a few days to start the celebrations for his 21st birthday and it was just so amazing. I'll link the posts I did about the trip because everything that we got up to is all there, Day 1, Day 2.

September:

In September Hayden took us to London for our one year anniversary and it was amazing, we did so much and he put so much thought into every little thing! You can read what we got up to on Day 1 & 2 and Day 3 & 4!

I also went back to college in September and it feels so nice to be reunited with my fav girls 3 days a week again!

I got to attend a Q&A with the Pixiwoo gals Sam & Nic because of work with The Blogger Programme and Access to Music, they were so lovely to myself and Hannah and it's so nice to see how down to earth these women are!

October:

In October I went to the lovely Daisy's Suffolk Blogger Meet and it was bloody amazing, it was filled with such lovely girls and so many amazing brands to speak to! If you want to read further click here.

In October we also managed to hold our third event of the year for NRWBloggers! This was such an amazing event, so intimate it was perfect. I have a full post here

November:

November saw the launch of a fab new cocktail bar in Norwich, me and Hannah attended the VIP launch night, you can read what I thought here

I was also named captain of one of my teams at cheer which is truly amazing! I'm so honoured that my team mates chose me to lead them this season!

December:

And finally we see December where me and Hayden went to Disney World for a week. I can honestly say it was the most magical trip I have ever been on, it still seems surreal that we even went! Here's a sneak preview of the trip but there will be blog posts and a vlog (yes a vlog ah I'm so scared about posting it!!) coming soon!!

Thank you so much for being part of my 2015, I hope you've all had an amazing year and a happy new year to you all!

FLORIDA BEAUTY HAUL

Thursday, 24 December 2015

As some of you may know I got back from Florida last week and after coming to terms with the fact I was back in cold England and catching up on my sleep I'm finally getting round to showing you guys what I bought!

I just knew before I even saw a Bath and Body Works that I would be picking up so of their hand sanitizers and little clip to go on the side of a bag. These were so cheap I think it was like 5 for $6 and the clip was under $3. I picked all festivey type scents apart from one which is the pink cupcake one and it's literally just a cupcake in a bottle. That's the one I'm using at the moment and I love it! I don't know why we don't sell these clips here because they make finding your hand sanitizer so bloody easy.

These were my big purchases of the trip as such, I could have gotten so much but I stuck to the rule of if you can get it at home you can leave it. I know you can get Kat Von D here if you try but not as easy as it was to just walk into Sephora. First of all I picked up the Lock N Load Setting Spray- which I did use when I was in America and it passed the hot weather and wearing all day test!

The second thing I've picked up was the infamous Shade & Light contour kit- I will admit I only chose this over the ABH kit because I've heard that the banana powder is a lot more brightening. Now I obviously can't compare it to that kit, but compared to the banana powders I've used it really is so brightening!

First of all I'm just going to say there is no way I actually needed all 3 of these. I'll start with the Maybelline Matte & Poreless Fit Me you can get the original Fit Me over here but the matte & poreless is a new release and before I went it was all over my youtube with everyone doing reviews on it so I picked it up. I haven't actually used it yet but it doesn't have a pump which annoys me but hopefully the foundation will make up for it.

Secondlly I got Maybelline Better Skin which you can get here but it's in a different bottle. I've heard that this is a dupe for Estee Lauder Double Wear which I bloody love so that's the only reason I picked this up, I thought I'd picked a good match until I compared it to the other foundations (all three are from different stores) so it is rather dark but for when I'm tanned it'll be perfect!

Lastly I picked up Covergirl Outlast 3-in-1 foundation, this is what I've been using since being back and I am obsessed, I got a pretty much perfect colour match, the foundation itself is amazing! I could talk about this foundation for ages so I'll save that for another blog post. I hope there's a way I can get it here though because it truely is amazing and I'm petrified of running out haha.

From the NYX stand in Ulta I picked up quite a few bits for myself and my sister because they had a 3 for 2 boots style deal on and we all know how dangerous they are.. To start with I picked up their Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, this was an obvious choice for me because I can never get hold of it here and I just needed to see what the fuss was about. I then picked up the HD Studio Finishing Powder this was a choice completely influenced by Amy Macedo who said in one of her drugstore dupes for high end products that this powder was just as good as the Laura Mercier one, I've yet to try it to I can't comment! Lastly I got the HD Photogenic Concealer, this is bloody amazing! Without a doubt the best concealer I've ever used sorry collection 2000.

Lastly I picked up Purity One Step Cleanser, I haven't even tried this yet so you'll have to keep your eye's peeled for a review of that. To finish up I finally got a MAC 217, it's so soft and I love it. There isn't much else I can say about it really!
