American Candy haul

American Candy haul

So I read on someone's blog (I can't for the life of me think who though I'm so sorry!) that B&M stock a few American sweets, so today I rushed out to my local store and was in heaven! Normally things are pretty expensive if you go to a direct sweet store or somewhere like Tesco but you'll be pleasantly surprised that the cheapest thing here was 49p and the most expensive was £1.29!

Butterfinger Bites- £1
I still can't figure out if I like these, the peanut butter inside part isn't very strong and doesn't really taste of anything? I reckon the bars are nicer than these bites!

M&M Mega Chocolate- 69p
These don't taste like M&M's at all- they don't even look like them? They're a lot bigger- the chocolate is nice but not great. Doubt I'd buy them again.

Tootsie Roll- 59p
This is the weirdest thing ever- chocolate flavoured caramel but not caramel bar- at first I wasn't sure but after eating the entire thing I was pretty certain I'd buy again.

Cherry Twizlers- 89p
The cherry flavour is not what I was expecting- you can really tell there's artificial flavours in there. I'm not sure I like them, they are pretty sickly and aren't as nice as our cherry stick things.. I probably would buy them again but only if I couldn't get hold of something we already have here!

M&M Peanut Butter- 69p
These are really nice- kind of like a Reese's piece but with more chocolate? It tastes nicer than the regular peanut M&M's, I really like them! Definitely buy again!

Mike and Ikes- £1.29
I've had these before and they taste so bloody good, my favourite flavour is the mango one. They taste just like jelly beans but with different flavours? For what you pay you get a big box which lasts a while! Would so buy these again.

Reeses Sticks- 49p
I love anything Reeses anyway so I knew I'd like this before I'd even tried it. It tastes just like a wafer bar but with peanut butter in the middle- you can't really taste the chocolate round the edge but I don't care about that! 100% buy this again!

M&M Pretzels- 69p
These are the nicest thing I bought. End of. Ugh I love pretzels sweet and salted, I love chocolate so the two combined is just pure heaven! I don't really have much to say about them because they are just so nice, apart from the fact they need to be sold everywhere. I will without a doubt be buying these again.

Hope you all liked this post! Let me know if you've tried any of these before or if you have any recommendation's for me to try for when I go to America!

review: bourjois healthy mix serum gel foundation

review: bourjois healthy mix serum gel foundation

This foundation seems to be my summer favourite because last year on the blog I featured it a bit! But it is such a nice foundation to wear that you just can't not love it. I'm going to review it because although I've featured it on my blog a lot I haven't actually reviewed it.

Give your skin a boost of radiance with a vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula for an even complexion and an instant anti-fatigue result!
Its fresh and instant blending gel texture blends and glides onto the skin for an even, natural finish with no mask effect. Imperfections are erased, signs of fatigue are smoothed and the skin’s radiance is boosted for up to 16 hours.
Made from vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula with litchi, goji berries and pomegranates.

One pump is literally enough for my entire face and I get a good medium coverage- on any red areas I usually get half a pump and blend it but I really don't need much product to give an amazing result!
Smells amazing-
It's made with litchi, goji berries and pomegranates so the smell of these combined gives it such a fresh smell and it doesn't give that weird foundation smell that some of them get?
Gives a glow-
It does claim to boost radiance and I can't agree more- to be honest I do wear a highlighting primer underneath which probably does give me more of a glow but I still know from not wearing the primer that it gives you that healthy glow you want in summer.
Not too heavy-
As this is my summer foundation I don't want a heavy foundation so this is really good, I can't feel it on my face and it feels like I've just got a bb cream on!
It's a plastic bottle with a red lid, it's pretty sleek and can fit in my makeup bag easily. It's not the prettiest packaging but it does the job, it's got a pump which you can never go wrong with.

Doesn't last up to 16 hours-
It does last a while but definitely not 16 hours- I'd say 8 is probably the max I've gotten out of it? Which is half of what it claims so it isn't that great.
Not a huge range of colours-
There's 6 colours to choose from in this collection, which when you think of other brands (talking to you L'oreal) who have a huge range for your right skin tone and colour it's a wonder why other brands can't do this?
This is my summer foundation so it would be nice for it to have SPF in, and I can't be the only one who thinks that just by the bottle it's going to have it in? Pretty much all foundations have SPF in now so it's just a shame that this one doesn't.

Untitled #10

So I've just switched rooms with my sister into the bigger one (score!) and I'm having all these dreams of things I need in my room. Excuse all the white and lack of colour but my theme is white and blue! I'm ordering the desk rather soon so that'll be the first thing I get! Do you have anything from here? Or have any suggestions on what I might like after seeing my wishlist?

So it's been exactly 1 year since I created this whole space on the internet and posted that very first cringey 'hey everyone' post..

I can't believe how many things have happened to me because I finally decided to peruse something that I'd wanted to do for a very long time.

Now the idea with having a blog started when I was still at sixth form and I'd become very much into the big youtubers- I knew I didn't have the fancy equipment/skills/confidence to create a youtube channel so I decided I'd go the blogging route- I have to say it's taken me a lot of time to figure out what to post, how to get my photos sorted, how to build a readership through social media- basically all the basics.

The opportunities that have come up because of blogging are amazing- in the past 6 months alone I've been to a fair few events over the place, made some bloody amazing friends (shout out to Courtney and Hannah) with those 2 we managed to plan and host a freaking bloggers event!! WE'RE THE CREATORS OF THE #NORWICHBLOGGERS EVENT (hopefully soon to be events) I just can't believe what I've done in the past year.

I'd like to add that because of my blog and my passion in fashion but mainly beauty I've decided in September 2016 I'm going to be going to a uni to study Fashion Communication and Business Studies- basically I'm going to go to uni to get a degree and learn about blogging, event planning and a whole bunch of other stuff which I'll probably tell you about at the time. But I could come out with a career because of this? Because of my blog I got a really good grade and I could really help my college girls when we had a project on writing a blog post on our experience at Norwich Fashion Week which you can find here.

But yeah I've just realised how much I've rambled but I'm just in awe of what I've managed to create.. Without sounding big headed I am really proud that I've managed to incorporate my love for writing, beauty and fashion into one thing and that I've managed to stick to something for this amount of time and I know I'm going to be here for a while longer...

Lastly I'd just like to thank everyone who has supported me during my journey so far, whether you read and like what I post, follow me on twitter or are a friend/family member from real life so yeah... much love!

Disneyland Paris Tag

Disneyland Paris Tag
Friday, 15 May 2015
Read post

So the lovely Danielle from underlandtowonderland created this Disney Land Paris tag because there is a lack of any Paris tags.. I'm so happy she tagged me in this because I love Disney and I've been to Paris numerous times and my blog is lacking Disney posts! I tag anyone who's been to DLP before!

1. What year did you first visit DLP and how old were you?

2001- I was 4 nearly 5 and I went with my sister, nanny and her friend. We went with a coach company for 4 days I think! I still remember getting my Aurora dress and crown and wearing it pretty much the entire time haha!

2. Which of the Disney hotels have you stayed in, if any, and do you have a favourite?

Disney's Sequoia Lodge, Disney's Hotel Cheyenne, Vienna International Dream Castle Hotel, Vienna International Magic Circus Hotel, Radisson Blu Hotel, Adagio Marne-la-Vallee Val d' Europe. It's probably gotta be the Magic Circus Hotel because that was the most recent one I went to so I remember it most and it's so big and the rooms are so nice and actually have themes to them!

3. Let us in on where the best places to eat within both parks and the Disney Village are.

I literally love Buzz Lightyear's Pizza planet restaurant! It's so chilled and there's the fast food you want and loads of places to play, I also really love Billy Bob's Country Western Saloon- it's more of a sit down place with proper food but it's still really nice and relaxed- like everywhere else in Disney! I have one other place and it's not for the food- but can anyone who went before 2004 I think remember when McDonald's had that massive slide going from the top to the bottom?? Please tell me someone remembers!!

4. Where is your first port of call when entering the Disneyland Park?

It's got to be getting ourselves onto Small World and sorting our fast passes out! When we were younger we didn't use fast passes as much because the rides we went on didn't really need them!

5. Do you have a favorite 'land'? If so why?

It's most definitely Fantasyland then it's a close call for second between Adventureland and Frontierland because I love all the rides and food places for both of those lands?

6. Which ride could you ride over and over and never tire of?

Small World without a freaking doubt. That is just number one.. Then Pirates of the Caribbean- funny story about that ride, when we went one year and it was new we queued up for ages, got in the boat and had a sudden panic that it was just a snazzy way of taking you to the restaurant.. luckily it turned out to be the best ride! We're still unsure on how to get to the restaurant haha.. For big rides I've got to say Rock n Roller coaster in the studios!

7. Disneyland Park or Walt Disney Studios park?

100% Disneyland Park.. I feel there's more to do and more people to meet- we used to spend 3 days in the park then only 1 day in the studios, although I will say I have noticed in the past few years they've started to upgrade the studios and I'd love to go back and see what's been added!

8. Tell us about your favourite character meeting ever at DLP.

It's without question Tigger.. I meet him at least twice every time I've been.. He is my favourite and he always seems to be about somewhere.. I'd love to meet Peter Pan, Wendy and Aurora- because in my 6 times of going I've never met them? I'm holding out hope that when i go to Florida in December I can meet them then!

9. What is a parade/show from any year that is most memorable to you?

In 2006 there was the Princess Parade with the Catchy Rhythm song and the song has been stuck in my head for the past 9 years, I'm not even kidding. I love that song and I'm such a Princess type girl so that parade was just made for me!

10. You can only ride one - Mad Hatters Teacups or Dumbo the Flying Elephant?

Dumbo the Flying Elephant- I've always preferred this to the teacups mainly because of the views and the fact you control whether you're up the air or on the ground.. So the views you get is up to you!

11. What do you think is the best attraction in the Walt Disney Studios park?

Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic by a mile- I love the fire and the water and the smoke and ah everything about it! I think it's an underrated ride to be fair!

12. Describe your happiest Disneyland Paris memory of all time.

Probably in 2006 going with my cousin, second cousin, sister, mum, nanny, and great aunties- it was the last time we went as part of the coach company and pretty much every year it was the same group of families who went (I'm still friends with some of the girls who used to go!) And it was my cousins first time in Disney and she was 4 and so cute and just seeing her face light up at everything was so adorable! Plus because of her we got to go on all the smaller rides a lot more which was nice because we got time to take things in properly!

I've realised today that I actually carry way too many lip products around with me.. I don't know why I feel it to be necessary to carry this many around because I usually only wear the one.

I carry with me 2 seperate lipbalms(???????) mainly because I can't cope with dry/chapped lips it really upsets me hah... Then 2 red lipsticks- a Kiko one and a sample sized Burberry one, 2 nudes- MAC Velvet Teddy and Bourjois Velvet Lipstick in Don't Pink of It! And lastly my MAC Media from Mia Morretti's range which is way too dark to wear during this season... How many lip products do you usually carry around?

Prom On A Budget- The Dress

Prom On A Budget- The Dress
Sunday, 3 May 2015
Read post
So for many people prom/formal season is starting to creep upon them, so  I thought I'd do a short prom on a budget series featuring the dress, the accessories and the beauty aspects. Today shall be the dress!

Long Dresses

This dress would suit anyone! Because it's got that nude/pink tones to it it would be so easy to accessorise too. I love how detailed the bodice section is, it gives the dress that extra something. This is from Boohoo for only £30!

I love this dress, if you've got that hourglass figure it would look amazing- although it would look amazing on anyone who wore it! It's so simple in style and colour so again would be easy to accessorise. This is from Missguided for £40.

If you're looking for something that's abit more bright this is the dress for you, I love the plunging neckline and the off the shoulder embellished straps and waistband. I love when dresses are embellished like this as it gives them an extra something! This is from ASOS for £65.

If you've got a 1920's theme for your prom/formal then this dress is utter perfection! I mean they obviously didn't have fully sequinned dresses back then but the zig zag pattern of the dress screams Art Deco and the 1920's to me- plus it's got all the glamour you'd need. This dress is from Quiz for £69.99.

Short Dresses

This is such a gorgeous dress! The pattern on it is so perfect- it's so subtle yet you know its there. It's in a perfect colour so that you can have whatever sort of accessories you want in whatever colour! It's from ASOS for £62.

I love the style of this one, the crossed front looks amazing and the embellishment around the neckline and waist is amazing. The colour of the dress is gorgeous too. It would go perfectly with silver accessories! This dress is from Boohoo for £25.

I have to say this is probably my favourite dress of the lot, the colour is so adorable and I can just picture white accessories going heavenly with it. The style of the dress itself is so classy yet so grown up at the same time? The deep neckline with the mesh covering it keeps it looking classy and the lace flowers on the bodice looks so beautiful and so well made. This dress is from Missguided for £45.

Pastel colours for prom are so perfect, and pastel blue is so easy to accessorise- think white or silver like the embellished section of the dress which might I add I love! Again if you've got a 1920's theme this dress is for you! Its from Quiz for £39.99.
