Favourite Perfumes

Thursday, 13 November 2014

Okay so I thought it was about time I gave you a insight as to what my favourite scents are (that sounds so incredibly weird oh my haha!) So I picked my top 5 that I will forever repurchase because they make me smell amazing. This is a fairly long in terms of writing post as it is reviews of 5 perfumes so if you want only a short review read the first paragraph of each perfume!!

1-Katy Perry Killer Queen- First up we have the amazing Killer Queen. Now this perfume is literally the best smelling thing ever. I cannot even comprehend how it makes me feel when I wear it. I actually feel like a Queen wearing it- I do what Katy tells me and I own that thrown!
This perfume lasts bloody ages too- I first got this (100ml) in the August of 2013 and I wore it most days and it didn't run out until about August 2014- that is saying something!
The bottle is my favourite part I have to say- it reminds me of a poison bottle- and being the fairytale obsessed person I am, this was literally made for me!
For those of you who want to know what the scent is actually like, in my own words I'd say its very sophisticated and sexy(?) but for actual scents from the fragrence people they say it's a combination of sweet, fruity, woody, patchouli, white floral scents. Which apparently make this gorgeous scent! I highly advise people to buy it!!

2-Katy Perry Royal Revolution- Next is Royal Revolution, Katy's 5th and most recent perfume. I got this for my birthday and was obsessed immediately. It's actually the one I've been reaching for most lately! It's a lot like Killer Queen in terms of looks and in some what scent- but completely different too, if that makes much sense?
On the website I'm looking at it is saying this about scent . The top notes include aromas of red pomegranate and pink freesia. Jasmine and orange flower are enriched with sandalwood in the heart, while the base includes unusually mystical notes of blackthorn with addition of vanilla orchid, leather and skin musk.
I agree, it's very girly and florally, but at the same time mature with the woody and fresh spicy scents.

3-Katy Perry Purr- As you may (or may not) notice there is a slight pattern in terms of my perfumes.. and that is they mainly are Katy Perry's creations- I have yet to wear one of her perfumes and dislike it. Admittedly I don't have Meow or Oh So Sheer, but that's more down to me obsessing over the others so much. But Purr being the first one she released, I do think this is one of my favourites- despite the fact I think I have outgrown the scent- although when I'm out of the others I'll happily layer this up.
The bottle really is adorable- I mean a cat!! It's so cute and so Katy!! The little heart which says purr actually removes and can be worn as a ring- however I never have as it's too small and is a little weird to wear.
The site I'm looking at says this about the scent- it combines top notes of peach, forbidden apple, gardenia and green bamboo with the heart of jasmine, pink freesia and Bulgarian rose and the base of vanilla orchid, creamy sandalwood, white amber, coconut and musk.
It is very fruity and sweet, with hints of vanilla in there.

4-Gucci Guilty- This perfume is actually my sisters- but I love the smell of her room when she's just sprayed it so much that I do sneakily use it sometimes shh!
The bottle is so sheek and classy, with the gold plating and clear middle to see the perfume, I love it! It's travel friendly too which I seriously love like it sucks that all my other perfumes are glass bottles so it is hard to lug them around without worrying that they'll break!
The scent from a professional point- it contains the notes of mandarin, pink pepper, peach, lilac, geranium, amber and patchouli.

5-Britney Spears Fantasy- Now this perfume is one that I think every girl can relate to. We've all worn/smelt/owned it at least once. I remember my friend having it when we were in year 5 (10) and people have been wearing, buying it since then, so that's a solid 8 years of me smelling it at least once a week haha! I think this perfume is an all time classic.
The bottle is so simple yet so memorable- like I could look at it in 30 years and could put money on the fact I would still know exactly who's perfume it was and what it smelt like. It's bright pink which emphasises the girliness, then it has diamonties in the bottle! I just love the simplistic bottle that is still beautiful.
The scent from a professional point-  It opens with fruity mix of litchi, golden quince and kiwi. The provocative heart is composed of jasmine and white chocolate. The base combines orris root, musk and woods.

Hope you all enjoyed these lovely reviews! What are your favourite perfumes? Let me know!!
