My Trip To The Zoo!

Tuesday, 25 November 2014

So on Sunday me and my boyfriend decided we would venture out into the cold and rain and go to Banham Zoo. I literally love the zoo, I love seeing the animals and I basically do turn into a small child running from animal enclosure to animal enclosure (my boyfriend was actually chasing me around and I felt no guilt, despite the fact I am a seemingly grown up 18 year old.) I haven't been to any zoo in around 10 years which is actually a really long time, and I haven't been to Banham Zoo since way before that so I knew that's where we had to go.

Quick side note this is a hugely photo heavy post and the photos aren't my very best!

*disclosure I just want to add that it may look like these animals are all cooped up in tiny spaces, but like I said it was raining so all the animals were sat in their heated indoor enclosures and the areas you can see in the photos are only a small part that are shown by a viewing glass. I would never visit anywhere that didn't treat their animals correctly.*

Fitness routine

Saturday, 22 November 2014

So this post is a little (a lot) different from my usual posts. The reason I'm posting my fitness routine is to show you guys what I'm trying to do to stay in shape and get healthier. My body image is one thing that I really struggle with, and have struggled with for a very long time. I know full well that my lifestyle is very unhealthy, it all stems down to my eating habits because frankly they are awful. So I thought that writing down my fitness routine, and keeping you all in  the loop with what I'm eating and how everything is going, because I think sharing my progress with you all will really help me.

*I am not in any way a fitness expert and do all of these things because they work for me*

Daily routine
30 seconds high intensity high knees
30 seconds deep squat straight into jumping jack
30 seconds deep squat straight into tuck jump
1 minute rest
30 seconds high intensity high knees
30 seconds deep squat straight into jumping jack
30 seconds deep squat straight into tuck jump

This is 4 minutes out of my day, it is literally no time at all, and because it's all high intensity it works well. I sometimes do this 3 times a day mainly because it does only take a few minutes, but oh my I feel the burn!

Most days
Jillian Michael's 30 day shred, I found this last year and have done it on/off since then. But on the weeks when I stick to it I really do see results! There are 3 levels, each worth 10 days.

Level 1
Level 2
Level 3

Once a week
3 hours of cheerleading. Before anyone gets in their head it's just waving pom poms around- you are incorrect. I compete intense routines, therefore we need a lot of training to get into the routine. Things change week to week but here's a rough idea of what I do.

30 minutes of cardio
30 minutes of yoga/stretching
90 minutes of strength training
30 minutes of dance

Hope you enjoyed this post, there will be a diet post to follow, as well as body statistics and before/after photos.

Favourite Perfumes

Thursday, 13 November 2014

Okay so I thought it was about time I gave you a insight as to what my favourite scents are (that sounds so incredibly weird oh my haha!) So I picked my top 5 that I will forever repurchase because they make me smell amazing. This is a fairly long in terms of writing post as it is reviews of 5 perfumes so if you want only a short review read the first paragraph of each perfume!!

1-Katy Perry Killer Queen- First up we have the amazing Killer Queen. Now this perfume is literally the best smelling thing ever. I cannot even comprehend how it makes me feel when I wear it. I actually feel like a Queen wearing it- I do what Katy tells me and I own that thrown!
This perfume lasts bloody ages too- I first got this (100ml) in the August of 2013 and I wore it most days and it didn't run out until about August 2014- that is saying something!
The bottle is my favourite part I have to say- it reminds me of a poison bottle- and being the fairytale obsessed person I am, this was literally made for me!
For those of you who want to know what the scent is actually like, in my own words I'd say its very sophisticated and sexy(?) but for actual scents from the fragrence people they say it's a combination of sweet, fruity, woody, patchouli, white floral scents. Which apparently make this gorgeous scent! I highly advise people to buy it!!

2-Katy Perry Royal Revolution- Next is Royal Revolution, Katy's 5th and most recent perfume. I got this for my birthday and was obsessed immediately. It's actually the one I've been reaching for most lately! It's a lot like Killer Queen in terms of looks and in some what scent- but completely different too, if that makes much sense?
On the website I'm looking at it is saying this about scent . The top notes include aromas of red pomegranate and pink freesia. Jasmine and orange flower are enriched with sandalwood in the heart, while the base includes unusually mystical notes of blackthorn with addition of vanilla orchid, leather and skin musk.
I agree, it's very girly and florally, but at the same time mature with the woody and fresh spicy scents.

3-Katy Perry Purr- As you may (or may not) notice there is a slight pattern in terms of my perfumes.. and that is they mainly are Katy Perry's creations- I have yet to wear one of her perfumes and dislike it. Admittedly I don't have Meow or Oh So Sheer, but that's more down to me obsessing over the others so much. But Purr being the first one she released, I do think this is one of my favourites- despite the fact I think I have outgrown the scent- although when I'm out of the others I'll happily layer this up.
The bottle really is adorable- I mean a cat!! It's so cute and so Katy!! The little heart which says purr actually removes and can be worn as a ring- however I never have as it's too small and is a little weird to wear.
The site I'm looking at says this about the scent- it combines top notes of peach, forbidden apple, gardenia and green bamboo with the heart of jasmine, pink freesia and Bulgarian rose and the base of vanilla orchid, creamy sandalwood, white amber, coconut and musk.
It is very fruity and sweet, with hints of vanilla in there.

4-Gucci Guilty- This perfume is actually my sisters- but I love the smell of her room when she's just sprayed it so much that I do sneakily use it sometimes shh!
The bottle is so sheek and classy, with the gold plating and clear middle to see the perfume, I love it! It's travel friendly too which I seriously love like it sucks that all my other perfumes are glass bottles so it is hard to lug them around without worrying that they'll break!
The scent from a professional point- it contains the notes of mandarin, pink pepper, peach, lilac, geranium, amber and patchouli.

5-Britney Spears Fantasy- Now this perfume is one that I think every girl can relate to. We've all worn/smelt/owned it at least once. I remember my friend having it when we were in year 5 (10) and people have been wearing, buying it since then, so that's a solid 8 years of me smelling it at least once a week haha! I think this perfume is an all time classic.
The bottle is so simple yet so memorable- like I could look at it in 30 years and could put money on the fact I would still know exactly who's perfume it was and what it smelt like. It's bright pink which emphasises the girliness, then it has diamonties in the bottle! I just love the simplistic bottle that is still beautiful.
The scent from a professional point-  It opens with fruity mix of litchi, golden quince and kiwi. The provocative heart is composed of jasmine and white chocolate. The base combines orris root, musk and woods.

Hope you all enjoyed these lovely reviews! What are your favourite perfumes? Let me know!!

Christmas Wishlist- Accessories

1- Fran Ankle Peep Toe Heels- I'm obsessed with these shoes, they just scream utter classics that need to be worn with every outfit even pj's haha. They look SO comfy too.

2- Black Toilet Bag- I'm in need of a new makeup bag and this one looks huge, and because there's no exact structure to it I'd be able to fit everything I needed and more into it! It would also be incredibly handy for my trip to Italy next year to keep all my toiletries in.

3- Pearl Curved Ear Cuff- I love ear cuffs, they are so effortlessly cool (that made me sound like a complete grandma) but they honestly do, it saves the hassle of piercing all up and down your ear by just going through the bottom hole and clipping to the cartilage area, I just love it.

4- Frankie Beaded Floral Statement Necklace- ugh if you could hear the noises coming from me right now about this necklace. It is just so bloody beautiful. I can already envision myself wearing it with a LBD, oooo I need it!

5- Delia Why Not Clutch- I seriously love this clutch, not only is it bright and perfect to help spruce up a plain outfit, it looks huge, which is perfect because when I go out I like to take everything and more out, which is utterly ridiculous but then again so am I. But the main thing I love is the little 'why not' on the front! It's such a subtle little thing as well but so awesome.

6- Black RI Mini Pouch Purse- As some of you may know I am taking a short trip to Florence, Italy in February with College which I am just so freaking excited for. But I had this realisation that I would need a small purse to take with me, rather than lugging my massive one with everything in, and this one looks perfect! Its got a zip which I prefer to buttons or clasps, it has a cute snakeskin texture to it and sort of matches my current purse!

7- Candice Floral Layered Statement Necklace- This is another beautiful necklace that I just need, its so intricate, I love it!

8- Stone Flower Ring Pack- I love just stacking rings up, and am a surprisingly big fan of midi rings (my fingers usually have meltdowns) so having a big combo pack where I can just shove them on would be perfect!

9- Suit Your Selfie Phone Case- Right this phone case is so not me. Like the whole selfie craze with the song and clothing with 'lets take a selfie' is annoying as hell, but I do like the wit that this has- instead of suit yourself its suit your selfie, which I find very amusing (I know I shouldn't but I do)

10- Louisa Rectangle Metal Trim Clutch- Another simple clutch which as a matter of fact match the shoes I picked out- how very handy. This is such a cute clutch, very simple yet the metal trim does all the work and makes it look amazing!

11- Red Tartan Blanket Scarf- The fact that it says blanket in the title of the item does it all for me, I literally love wrapping myself up in winter, and tartan is still very much in, so I am a huge fan.

12- Pastel Blue Stone Studs- These earrings are simply amazing, they're so beautiful, I can see them changing the look of an entire outfit.

Hope you liked my accessories wishlist! What's on your Christmas wishlist?

Christmas Wishlist- Makeup

1- Baked Eyeshadows in Bang Bang- I''m pretty sure I have a slight obsession with eyeshadows and palettes (if you go by the image above?) and I've heard nothing but good things about these baked eyeshadows, they're in the perfect colour to create a traditional 'dark' smoky eye, but there's the royal blue in there to shake it up. I also love that they're sparkly so just perfect for Christmas.

2- They're Real! Push up Liner- Okay so this is more of a maybe item, I heard nothing but good reviews about this product- but then I got a free sample in Elle magazine, and I just can't use it, I'm not sure if I'm just being thick but it just won't work. I don't know if it's because its a sample- so I would really like to try it properly.

3- Eylure Lash Edit Paris Set- I love false eyelashes, especially Eylure ones, I just think everything about them are amazing. So when I saw this gift set in Superdrug I just had to have it! There's 3 pairs of reusable lashes in there, and they're all different so perfect for every occasion!

4- Ultra Cover Concealer Palette- I already have this but it is starting to run out waaaaa so I could do with a new one, I use this not only to conceal dark circles but to contour and highlight too, so it really is perfect.

5- Girls on Film Palette- Like I said before and I will say again, I am literally obsessed with palettes. And this one is amazing, 18 different shades, 6 matte and 12 shimmer, so it's great for me.

6- Ultra Blush and Contour Palette- I love this palette, and seeing as I'm not really a blush girl I think it'd be perfect to pay a small amount for and get loads of colours out of it, rather than invest in one fairly expensive one that I might not use.

7- Rimmel London Kate Shade 1- I used to have this lipstick, but somehow managed to loose it (only me!) and I loved it so much, another obsession I have is lipsticks (especially red ones)

8- MAC Lipstick Faux- I'm still lusting after that Kylie Jenner lip, and although I found amazing dupes (here) I still would really like to use the exact products she uses.

9- The Balm Nude Shadows- Again another palette I probably don't need, but its got so many amazing shades in matte and shimmer that I just lust after it.

10/11- MAC Keepsake Plum Eyes- I messed up the numbering here oops, but this keepsake edition is absolutely amazing. From the colours inside- like the name says there's a few plummy colours, but still brights to highlight with, and dark greys and blacks to smoke the look out with. The packaging itself is just gorgeous and perfectly seasonal.

12- Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation- I already have this product, and it is my holy grail product. I literally don't know how I managed without it. This is more of a gift I'll ask for if I'm in utter need and can't find the funds to buy it myself.

13- Sleek Blush 3 Lace- Like I said before I'm not really a blush girl. But these just remind me the Nars blushes, plus there's a good range of colours/shimmers considering there's only 3 shades. And Sleek make bloody amazing products.

14- Give Them Nightmares Palette- I'm obviously late on the bandwagon with this one, but just by the reviews from all of you guys I need it. My addiction to palettes really has shown in this wishlist.. Oh my.

15- I <3 Makeup Death By Chocolate- Another palette I know...... But again I've seen amazing reviews on this one, and that it is in fact a complete dupe for the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, and I'm obsessed with dupes.

16- MAC Lip Liner in Whirl- Again like the lipstick this has been said to be the exact lip liner that Kylie uses, so I just need to try it for myself (if it ever comes back in stock sigh)

17- They're Real! Remover- The liner and mascara are both very hard to remove, and if you try and use regular makeup remover it usually ends up being quite painful and time consuming, so this product is a must if I got the liner in the full set.

18- Benefit POREfessional primer- I've used this before for Cheerleading competitions, and we really need our makeup to stay put and this just does wonders. So having a full tube to myself would be a massive help.

19- The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer- I again have seen this bronzer everywhere in the bloggersphere, so thought it would be a great time to give it a go.

Hope you enjoyed! Have you got any of these items on your list? Let me know what's on your wishlist in the comments or on twitter @justinebblogger

Christmas Wishlist- Homewear

1- Breville Blend Active- I've been wanting a smoothie/juice maker for ages now and have seen very good things about this one, plus the fact I can just make the smoothie, add the lid and voila leave because its made in the bottle!!

2- Seeking Balance Meditate Candle- This candle looks bloody amazing, its a vetyver & oilbanum scented soy candle (which doesn't sound very appealing?) but as it says on the jar its a meditating candle which I think I could really do with, as I need all the help I can get when it comes to relaxing haha!

3- White Wooden Antique Style Photo Frame- I'm obsessed with those white, rustic looking photo frames and I really should start putting my photos into frames rather than on my memory board to help keep them in better condition, so these are right up there on my homewear wishlist!

4- Skurar Plant Pot- Obviously I wouldn't use these for plants (I'm not a plant person in the slightest) but more for my makeup brushes. Obviously everyone already does this, but I just love the style of these so much and they'd fit right in with my room, and I really need something to store my brushes in rather than a few neon plastic cups?

5- Muji Acrylic Drawers- These are another thing every tom, dick and harry already has but again, I need somewhere to store my makeup other than rolling around in my top draw in my dressing table and these are perfect.

6- Yankee Candle in Cranberry Zest- I'm just obsessed with this candle and I've never even had it before. My friend has it and I literally sit there with my nose attached to the candle (obviously not when its been lit- I quite like my non-burnt nose) and its a perfect Christmassy scent so it makes it even more perfect!

7- Zoella Let's Glow- I have heard very good things about this candle, its a vanilla and light floral scent, which is basically me? And the packaging is just so adorable! (I shouldn't be this excited about packaging)

8- Monopoly Hardback Notebook- This daily diary is so far up my street I'm half tempted to order it now just so I'm sure I get it! I love monopoly- literally one of my all time favourite games, and its a daily diary which you can never go wrong with because I need all the help I can get when organising my days!

9- Seeking Balance Detoxify Candle- Now this candle does actually look like it'll smell a lot nicer than the meditating one, its a spearmint and tea tree oil soy scented candle? This one is looking very promising, I could see this being perfect for those days where you just need to refresh and sort yourself out inside and out.

So this has been my homewear (of sort) Christmas wishlist, what do you have on yours?

Drugstore Kylie Jenner 90s Lips

Thursday, 6 November 2014

So we all know one of the most desired looks for the past few months and still now is that infamous 'Kylie Jenner/90s overdrawn matte nude lip.' Now if you're looking for a high end version try Mac Whirl, it has been said that it is the actual lip pencil she actually uses, that along with Mac Faux lipstick makes the most amazing mix! However if you're more like me and have not a lot of money so need drugstore alternatives I think I've found two that either separately or together do the job!

First up we have the lipstick we have the amazing MUA Matte Lipstick in Fawn Fancy (£1). Now I have very on the fence opinions on MUA's lipsticks, some of them I love and others can go straight in the bin for all I care. This one is really good- however it doesn't last for a huge amount of time, which is okay when paired with the lip liner, but if it's on its own its not that great. But at £1 you really can't complain. My sister actually bought this one and its safe to say I've fully stolen it.

For we have the lip liner. I went on such a hunt for a drugstore lip liner, and it took me forever but I'm rather happy with this one. Barry M Liner Chocolate 6 (£2.99) it does have a slight purple tint to it but it is amazing! When applying it I would say apply lip balm well in advance- remove excess with tissue before applying it, then if you're not going over it with lipstick applying lip balm on top as it is quite drying I find. This honestly lasts forever, which I love because there's nothing worse than a lipstick that you have to keep applying, so I'm pretty sure for me lip liners are the way forward!

Here is the lip liner on my lips just on its own.

This is just the lipstick (I don't advise this)

And this is the overall look which I love most! Aside from beautiful berry colours this combo is what I've been wearing daily and will continue to wear!

Tag me in any photos if you recreate the look! If you've got any other drugstore favourites let me know in the comments below!!
